Amazon Future Engineer Scholarships in USA for 2024 (Free!)

Good news for the US Citizens! Applications are now open for the Amazon Future Engineer for the academic year 2024. The program will support US citizens to pursue a bachelor’s degree at the field of software engineering at selected U.S universities. The program targets those high school graduates with poor financial situations but great academic backgrounds. Students who meet this condition and are keen to study computer science are highly encouraged to apply as they have higher acceptance chances. This time the program does not only support students financially but will also provide them with amazing growth opportunities. These include but are not limited to internships, free online courses, mentorships and other academic seminars and programs.

You can receive a scholarship of up to $40,000 (up to $10,000/year) towards an undergraduate degree in engineering or computer science and an offer to complete a summer internship at Amazon!

Eligibility Criteria:

For students to be eligible for the AFE scholarships, they must meet the following requirements:

  • Students applying for the program should be U.S. citizens who are authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Students should have at least a GPA of 2.3 (According to the U.S. Average Grade Point Scale System).
  • The applicant must be a high school senior in the U.S. who is currently enrolled in or who has completed a high school or college dual degree course where computer science, engineering, or robotics is the subject. Students who have not taken this course can opt-in to take an assessment offered by Amazon.
  • Candidates must prove that they are in a bad financial situation.
  • Be planning to attain a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, robotics, or other computer science related field of study from an accredited 4-year college or from a 2-year college with the intent to transfer to a 4-year college.

Benefits:

Students will receive $40,000 ($10,000 for every year) for their tuition fees and other education-related costs. The program is not limited to only the financial aid! Students who succeed this program will also get access to paid and unpaid internships and free online courses.
