Eligibility Criteria:
- Nationality:Â Applicants should be from any of the following countries:
- Asia: India, Vietnam, Indonesia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Laos, Maldives, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Mongolia, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Timor-Leste, Vietnam
- Pacific: Fiji, Samoa, Solomon Islands,Nauru, Papua New Guinea, Republic of Palau, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, Federated States of Micronesia, Wallis and Futuna
- Africa: Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia
- Middle East:Â Palestinian Territories
- It should be considered that Australian citizens are not eligible for this program.
- Gender, race, religion:Â All applicants irrespective of their gender, race or religion are eligible.
- Age: Students applying for the master’s degree should be under 45.
- For applicants to be considered eligible, they must show talent and enthusiasm for development globally.
- Applicants should prove that they are returning to their home country after the completion of their education.
- The program that students select must be relevant to their country’s development area.
- As this scholarship is based on academic excellence, students should provide enough documents about their extracurricular achievements throughout their lives to be considered a high archiving student.

Required Documents for Australia Awards Scholarships 2024:
All applicants should provide the following documents:
- A copy of the original graduation certificate (i.e. testamur) and, if not in English, a certified translation of the degree;
- A copy of the original transcript/s, It must be in English
- A copy of a citizenship (Such as a passport or national ID card);
- A copy of the birth certificate translated into English
- A curriculum vitae (CV) that explains work experience and duties if there is a research experience, it can sent too.
- Reports of referees: at least one academic referee report and at least one other referee report (e.g. a work supervisor). Post-graduate students must be by Research or Doctoral candidates and must provide two academic referee reports. - a certified copy of the original English language test (IELTS OR TOEFL) results certificate valid until 1 January of the year in which the studies will commence. (For example, as results are normally valid for two years, the test date would need to have been taken after 1 January 2022 for an application for a scholarship to commence studies in 2024);
- PhD candidates only – evidence (e.g. letter or email communication) that the
an applicant has received in-principle support for their research topic from a potential
supervisor; - If previously undertaken, English language proficiency i.e. Score of IELTS and TOEFL or PTE.

Other Important Information About Australia Awards Scholarships:
- The application process for the scholarship is completely online. This is done either through email or the online application system.
- All the applicants are advised to check the deadline of their respective country before submitting their application as the deadline differs based on the country.
- If face a problem in applying through online application, you can proceed by mail. In selected countries’ profiles, contact details are found which are for obtaining a hard copy of the application.
- A candidate applying by mail should locate the mailing address according to the country where he/she is applying.
