The University of Padua is offering fully funded scholarships to both domestic and international students. Many of these scholarships are offered by the university and others are offered by the Italian government and other NGOs. There are around 59 fully funded scholarships available, over 100 fee-waivers programs 22 scholarships designed for students at risk and many more opportunities. The program is offered for highly talented students from around the world who wish to pursue a bachelors or masters degree in Italy. The good news is that these programs are all English-taught. Therefore, students don’t have to spend time learning Italian language.

1. Padua International Excellence Scholarship:

Note: After the studies duration, students will have to pay their expenses themselves.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Only international students holding a non-Italian citizenship are eligible to apply;
  • students should poses a non-Italian high school diploma for a bachelor’s degree or a bachelor’s degree in they are applying for a master’s program;
  • applicants should live/reside in Italy;
  • for students to be eligible, they must not get advantage from other scholarships or grants.

How to Apply?

Students don’t have to apply for a scholarship separately. All they have to do is to apply for 1 to 3 degree programs at the university of Padua. If they are deserving and of a great academic background, they will automatically be considered for a scholarship. It is mentionable that students should apply for an English-taught program. They can apply for up to 3 program.

Students must submit the required documents for the respective program. The necessary documents vary for each degree program.

It is recommended for students to apply for fields and majors that they have background in. This is because the university will look at students academic excellence and their background in the selected fields.

Result Announcement:

Scholarships are reserved for applicants applying for the first period. The Academic Committees might decide to award the scholarship to eligible candidates of the second application period.

The results will be announced at  www.unipd.it/en/assessement-results according to the timeline indicated in the Call for applications. In case of unlimited access degree programs, scholarship results will be published starting from 11 March 2023, before the admission offer deadline.

Other Information:

In case you are granted a scholarship, you will be given a Padua International Excellence scholarship offer which will include the process and a set date to accept it. The first payment and the financial aid will be given to students upon their arrival. For students to maintain the scholarship they must show academic merit. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy offers fully funded scholarships for both international and Italian students who are citizens of non-Italian countries. These scholarships are offered on an annual basis to enable students from any part of the world pursue their higher education or conduct research. The program targets students with great academic excellence to build a community of like-minded and highly talented individuals and have a positive impact in the world.     • PhD: Not more than 30 years old;
    • Research: Not more than 40 years old;
