We are here with one of the world’s most popular scholarship programs, the Joint Japan World Bank Scholarships 2024! This is an excellent opportunity for international students to study freely in Europe, United States and Japan for free. For students to be eligible, they must be from one of the world bank member countries. With this free opportunity, students can pursue a master’s degree in one of the development-related fields in different institutions. Students who come from low-income countries are highly encouraged to apply!
Students have the chance to gain real-world experience through this program as they will participate in real world projects with the world bank. At the mean time, they will have access to high quality education and they will join numerous academic workshops to enhance their career skills.
As this scholarship is fully funded, it will cover any education-related costs from tuition fees to living expenses. Thus, students don’t need to worry about any costs related to their education.
It is an important component of the World Bank’s efforts to promote economic development and shared prosperity through investing in education, capacity building, and developing human resources in the developing world. Throughout this program, since 1982, the World Bank has helped to form a pool of over 6,000 well-trained and experienced development professionals and scholars, transforming their countries and positively impacting future generations.

- applicants should now have dual citizenship of 2 developing countries;
- applicants must have received their bachelor’s degree at at most 3 years prior to the deadline of the scholarship (29 February 2024);
- be currently employed in a development-related full-time paid position. (An exception will be given to the nationals of fragile and conflict-ridden countries;
- applied and obtained an unconditional offer from at least one of JJ/WBGSP’s preferred university master programs outside the applicants’ home country or the country of residence on or before the application deadline;
- all applicants should have at least 3 years of expertise in development-related works after obtaining their bachelor’s degree;
- not be World Bank staff or family members of World Bank staff;
- candidates should in a good medical condition;
