What are the Eligibilty criteria for the Master Mind scholarship?

Eligibility Criteria:


The following are the requirements of this scholarship:

  • All nationals are eligible to apply except Russians.
  • Applicants must apply to host universities and they must be accepted.
  • Applicants must have a good academic background (GPA of 3.5 out of 4.0)
  • Language requirements:
    • TOEFL: 94 
    • IELTS: 7.0
    • Common European Framework of Reference: C1 level
  • Applicants must have studied for their Bachelor’s degree outside of Belgium.
  • Candidates will be academically assessed by the host university.
  • If candidates are selected by multiple universities, they must choose which one they prefer.
  • Applicants who are already enlisted at Flemish higher education institutions are not eligible except international students who are already enrolled in the preparatory programme to start their graduate program.
  • Ineligible programs:
    • Preparatory programmes
    • Bridging programmes
    • Distance learning
  • Student mobility to partner institutions outside Flanders and Brussels during the master’s programme is allowed. Albeit, at least half of the study credits of the master’s programme must be acquired at the Flemish host institution.
